Massmart is a South-African based retailer and wholesaler and is wholly owned by international retailer, Walmart. Massmart is headed by CEO Jonathan Molapo, who was appointed to the position with effect from January 2023.
The Group is structured into two functional business units, Massmart Wholesale and Massmart Retail. Massmart Wholesale comprises of Makro, Jumbo and Shield.
Massmart was officially delisted from the JSE in November 2022, after being fully bought out by Walmart. As a result, financial updates will no longer be issued from the business as per JSE requirements.
