The JP21 Project, founded by South African cricketer and former Strandfontein resident, JP Duminy, has partnered with Boxer Superstores to help reignite the passion for cricket at four Mitchell's Plain primary schools, namely AZ Berman, Beacon View, Hyacinth Primary and Cascade primary schools, through day clinics and the sponsorship of cricket kits.
On Tuesday September 5, the cricket kits were handed over to the cricket teams from each of the schools at a ceremony at Yellowwood Primary School in Tafelsig. This was the fulfilment of a pledge undertaken by the supermarket chain when it opened its first store in the area in May.
